Students in grade 1 created radial symmetry Q tip snowflakes with a water color wash background. Students had learned about radial symmetry with their work on Arabic tile design prints. Revisiting the concept(and also because it's fun!), students created radial symmetry snowflakes. They first created a blended water color wash background with some splatted paint as a finishing touch. Then they glued in their radial symmetry snowflake created out of cotton swabs and added a little bit of glitter. They were very proud of their snowflakes!
